Important Dates ("we", "us", or "our") helps you track personal dates and get AI-assisted planning tips. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and sign-in details when you create an account (for example via Clerk with Google or Apple).
• App content: important dates, notes, reminders, and chat messages you choose to save.
• Beta / waitlist: email address if you join early access.
• Usage data: basic technical information such as device type, browser, and approximate location derived from IP, used to operate and improve the service.

How we use your information

• Provide reminders, date tracking, and AI coach features
• Authenticate your account and keep the service secure
• Respond to support requests and early-access communications
• Improve product quality and reliability

We do not sell your personal information. AI features may send relevant conversation context to our AI providers solely to generate responses for you.

Third-party services

We use trusted providers to run Important Dates, including authentication (Clerk), hosting/database (for example MongoDB), and AI model providers. These parties process data only as needed to deliver their services under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

We keep your account and app data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@importantdate.app and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

Important Dates is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
